Issue to share a folder on a cloudshell with a windows clien

Unread postby castillan » Sat Feb 04, 2017 1:46 am

I use an XU4+cloudshell and try to share a folder located on the hard disk with a windows unit. I see the folder on windows but cannot open it. There is no difficulty to open a shred folder located on the emmc module of the xU4. Why this difference ?

Compare the owner and permission of the folder in the HDD from the eMMC.

Owner, permissions, sharing are the same for the 2 folders, emmc and HDD. From a windows computer, I see the 2 folders, but can access only the emmc. The HDD is forbidden.

I add allow_other to the mount options : nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show,allow_other
but got this error :
Error mounting system-managed device /dev/sda1: Command-line `mount "/mnt/usb-ST1000LM_035-1RK172_0000000000000033-0:0-part1"' exited with non-zero exit status 32: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error

In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so.
