You can upgrade ODROID operating system to the latest Android Eclair 2.1 R2.

You need to remove Micro-SD(T-Flash: Small black card) card from Odroid and put it in to USB memory card reader and connect it to PC.
If you can't find the Micro-SD card, refer below link.

This upgrade/recovery tool supports only Windows-XP. We don't have Linux tool yet.

Install process
1. Download Odroid-Eclair-Test-Release.zip
2. Check file size (It is 356,408,640 Byte)
3. Uncompress it~
4. Plug USB card reader into Windows PC with Micro-SD.
5. Run ODROID_TF_Burner_098c.exe
6. Load 3 image files
- Bootloader Image : u-boot.bin
- Kernel Image : zImage
- Android RootFS : Odroid-eclair-2.1.0-r2.1.img
7. Press Start Button (Do not change any other parameters!!)
8. Wait long time.. Take a cup of coffee. :)
9. Move the Micro-SD card to Odroid and Enjoy~~

Please note, this Alpha release contains below specification.
- Based on Android 2.1 Eclair R2 tag in AOSP GIT (Approx. 5-Feb-2010)
- API Level 7
- Hardware OpenGL ES 1.x and 2.0 are implemented.
- OpenCore powered by Hardware HD video decoder(MFC)
- Horizontal/Landscape modes and 3-Axis accelerometer is working well.
- Improved WiFi connection manager
- L2 cache is enabled.
- VFP/NEON is enabled.
- HDMI / ADB are enabled.
- Volume +/- Keys are working only in Horizontal(Move slide switch to FN) mode

Known issues, (There are many known/unknown issues)
- Not optimized power management (Battery life is shorter than previous version)
- No Sleep mode
- No Bluetooth support
- No Sound in HDMI/SPDIF mode
- No Audio input / No Voice recording
- LiveWallpaper API's not fully compatible.
- SSID is not remembered. So you need to connect manually every power on state.

Above issues will be resolved by middle of March. I hope so :)

Windows에서 USB Card Reader를 사용하여 T-Flash의 System을 설치/복구할 수 있는 프로그램입니다.

최신 Android Eclair 2.1 R2입니다. 삼성 BSP-2.0과 AOSP 2.1 R2를 적당히 잘 버무려서 만들었습니다.
커널 또한 2.6.29로 변경되었습니다. 무선랜 접속도 일부 개선되었습니다.
이번 펌웨어의 내역과 문제점들은 위 영문 설명을 참고하시길 바랍니다.
아직 테스트 버전이므로 부족한 점이 많겠지만, 한달넘게 열심히 만든것이므로 계속 응원 부탁드립니다.

또한 해킹롬에서 추출된 Eclair용 구글맵/유튜브/구글메일/캘린더등은 동작을 합니다만,
아직 마켓은 뚫리지 않는군요.

압축을 해제하면ODROID_TF_Burner_098c.exe / zImage(Kernel Image) / u-boot.bin / Odroid-eclair-2.1.0-r2.1.img 파일이 생성됩니다.

ODROID_TF_Burner_098c.exe를 실행하여 각 Image file을 오른쪽에 있는 Browse버튼을 통하여 선택하여 주시고 START버튼을 눌러 Write하시면 됩니다.

먼저 T-Flash Drive를 설정합니다. USB Card Reader가 있는 위치를 선택합니다. 다음 Image를 선택합니다.

Bootloader Image : u-boot.bin

Kernel Image : zImage

Android RootFS : Odroid-eclair-2.1.0-r2.1.img

Write가 완료되면 팝업으로 완료 메세지가 나타납니다.

주의) Android Rootfs Write는 시간이 많이 걸립니다. Write도중 정지시 정상적으로 동작하지 않을 수 있습니다.
또한 기본적으로 설정되어 있는 설정값도 수정하지 말아주세요
